    After a rubbish start to the year, James and I wanted to get away to somewhere we could recharge the batteries, soak up some sunshine and completely switch off. We wanted something last minute and in April it meant we needed to go long haul. After listing our requirements to the travel agent, they suggested St Lucia and we happily agreed.     Watergate Bay Hotel

    Last weekend was James’ birthday; he’s a tricky one to buy for so I decided to take him away for a couple of days. When I first started my current job nearly three years ago, an old work friend told me about this great hotel right on the beach, with amazing food and an indulgent spa all within walking distance of your hotel room.
