    Rack ’em up

On a recent holiday we were reintroduced to pool, both the wet and splashy type, and the balls in pocket version. The first was a necessity; it was mighty hot in Rhodes and during the day being in the sea or a pool, or an air-conditioned room, was the only option. Later in the evenings though it was a touch cooler and our pre or post dinner entertainment often included shooting a bit of pool (the hotel cabaret wasn’t up to much!). Watergate Bay Hotel

Last weekend was James’ birthday; he’s a tricky one to buy for so I decided to take him away for a couple of days. When I first started my current job nearly three years ago, an old work friend told me about this great hotel right on the beach, with amazing food and an indulgent spa all within walking distance of your hotel room. Ever since I have wanted to visit but haven’t found a good enough reason. So, if I can’t spoil James with pressies, I’ll spoil him with a two night stay at Watergate Bay Hotel. Just over two and a half hours away from Bristol, on the…

    At-Bristol: After Hours

Have you ever wanted to be able to run around a science centre, play with fun experiments and drink a cocktail or two? Well the people at At-Bristol let you do just that! About 4 times a year, the science centre opens it’s doors later in the evening for over 18s only. These evenings often follow a theme, having already done the Food one, this time we were off to a… errr.. umm.. Sex themed one. Timed just a couple of days before Valentine’s Day – how romantic! We grabbed ourselves some love potions (cocktails), which only fuelled our need to regress and run around like a couple of kids. There was…
