The famous London Ivy has come to Bristol!

The Ivy; a long-established and well know celeb’ hang out in central London. When it’s time to expand, the obvious location is the UK’s second food capital – Bristol! Keen to find out what all the fuss is about, we made our reservation a couple of weeks before the restaurant had opened. French in France Launch Party

Last week I was luckily enough to be invited along to the launch of a new business venture for Jonathan Maisey and Laurie Cliquet; French in France. The courses are run by Madeleine and Claire, who invite you into their kitchen and clearly know their stuff. We enrolled ourselves onto the Indian cookery class where you get to learn to make a naan bread, an aromatic dhal and a Sri Lankan chicken curry all in two hours. The whole experience was really relaxed, so it’s good fun as well as helping gain confidence and learning new skills in the kitchen. To kick things off we made up the dough for the naan. We added strong bread flour, yeast, salt and…

    Photography

I got an SLR camera for my 21st Birthday and to be honest I didn’t use it much until I started blogging. I touched on Digital Photography at University however we focused more on being creative rather than the functions on the camera. With any camera, be it a Compact, Bridge or SLR there are numerous buttons and options at your finger tips to allow you to take the best photograph possible. Since I take numerous photographs for my blog, it’s turned into a bit of a hobby. Alan has just recently decided to pursue a career in Sports Photography, we’re at a similar level with knowing how to take…
