    Holidaying in the UK used to be a regular occurrence for the family and I. We enjoyed holidays abroad as well but I remember weeks away spent in Cornwall, Devon and the like with glorious sunshine – it was almost as if you didn’t need to step on an aeroplane at all over the summer.     Watergate Bay Hotel

    Last weekend was James’ birthday; he’s a tricky one to buy for so I decided to take him away for a couple of days. When I first started my current job nearly three years ago, an old work friend told me about this great hotel right on the beach, with amazing food and an indulgent spa all within walking distance of your hotel room.
