James and I have been lucky enough to enjoy the last week off; not going abroad anywhere in the hope the weather would be on our side.
I’d been invited along to Boston Tea Party to check out some new additions to their menu and it was the perfect way to kick start our week off – and better yet, the weather was a beaut!
We visited the one on Park Street and found a spot in the large outside seating area.
The new items on the menu included a range of toasties with a variety of fillings; I went for the Chipotle chicken and parmesan, which also included sun blushed tomatoes and red peppers, along with a side salad.
My toastie was juicy, with bags of flavour and had a good bite to it.
James went for an old favourite but still a BTP classic; the Halloumi Pitta.
A foodie photographer’s dream on a plate – the varying colours in this dish were so eye-catching and immediately made you want to dive into the dish.
We ordered a side of sweet potato fritters which were perfectly seasoned and came with a refreshing tzatziki dip.
The other new items on the menu joining us were the raw veg smoothies. You can get ‘The Red One’, which includes beetroot, carrot, apple, cucumber, OJ, ginger, mint and parsley or ‘The Green One’, with spinach, cucumber, banana, chia seeds, apple juice and lime.
I opted for the The Red One, which was the perfect cleanse with every mouthful. It balanced out the food and allowed for a guilt-free lunch.
Boston Tea Party is already one of my go-to brunch, lunch or dinner places and with a great sun trap at the back and some tantalising new treats on the menu to indulge in (with or without the guilt); it’s definitely one to visit over the summer!
