Isn’t it great when your friends love the same food you do? There are no squabbles or grumbles about where you should eat; it’s just easy.
So when my friend Emma and I decided to go for a bite to eat after work, the words Thai food had barely passed my lips before it was a resounding ‘Yes’! Nothing makes me more happy than Thai food.
My new favourite part of Bristol, Clifton Village, is where we found ourselves. Here you’ll find the Giggling Squid. Open for over a year now, (don’t judge, I’m still trying to keep up with Bristol food jaunts), this growing chain offers Bristol a great place to enjoy a taste of Thailand.
The decor is a mix of beige tones with textured wood and stone walls – with a pop of colour coming from the bookshelf in the corner.
We perused the menu whilst sipping on wine and nibbling on some prawn crackers.
It wasn’t long before we made our choice and both decided on the Thai Green Curry.
A dish that stood out in colours as much as the bookshelf, with fresh vegetables and no skimping on the chicken. I asked for a little extra heat in mine and they’d got that spot on; even coming over to check if I wanted any more.
A nice setting, in a lovely location with top notch customer service – the Giggling Squid is a great addition to the thai food scene in Bristol.
