Getting ready for Spring

After what’s felt like a very long Winter (even if it was a relatively mild one), and months of cold, wet, dark dog walks, the days are finally starting to get a bit longer and the sun occasionally shows its welcome face. You wouldn’t know it to look at the thermometer, but Spring is nearly upon us!

The prospect of finally being able to let a bit of fresh air into the house and have a good Spring clean is an exciting one, but more exciting still is the thought that soon we’ll be able to utilise those spaces which have been forsaken during the cold of the Winter, like the garden or conservatory.

If you’re green fingered then you may already have planted some seeds and bulbs and be starting to see the first signs of life. For me though now is the time when I start to get creative and think about making the garden look presentable as it becomes an extension of my living space for the next six months or so. A trip to my go-to inspiration hub gave me all sorts of ideas and you never know what wonders you’ll unearth at HomeSense!

If it’s tools and trugs you want to tidy and prepare the garden then there’s plenty of great value options.

And if you’re looking for a way to display your plants and flowers then there’s a great selection of old and new looking pots and planters, as well as more exotic options like mini greenhouses and lantern type vessels which would look great with something green in!

If your approach to the outdoors is more to sit and enjoy the fresh air, than get your hands dirty, then there’s a brilliant range of high quality furniture which would be perfect in the garden or conservatory.

Or perhaps you prefer the idea of flowers without the mess? Then why not go for artificial plants; these are very realistic and won’t die on you, only requiring the occasional dusting.

Thank you HomeSense; I now have all I need to get ready for Spring!
