Pizza.Pie.Cider: The Stable has opened in Cheltenham
The Stable appear to be on a mission to open up in every city in the country and lucky old Cheltenham managed to make the cut.
They’ve set up shop on Clarence Street in a building that has seen a Japanese restaurant, a nightclub and various other establishments however The Stable is already a hit and I can’t see it going anywhere.
I was able to go along to the opening last week and see what they’ve done with the place and maybe try a pizza or two.
They have large booths for big groups and benches to create that relaxed feel. Dimmed lighting and candles make it cosy and the heavy use of wood and stencils on the walls make it that little bit rustic.
We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco or a glass of their cider.
The cider came in a whole array of flavours. My favourites included the strawberry one and the mango one. We were invited to try the full range, which we were more than happy to do.
Soon enough we were greeted with trays after trays of pizza, all varying in toppings. I’m not usually a big fan of Hawaiian but with a touch of chilli on top, they managed to change my mind.
All the pizzas were delicious. All quite unique in flavour, with a thin but crispy base with plenty of toppings. There were even Cheltenham-themed ones including a GCHQ pizza. We were all big fans!
They are able to accommodate a large amount of people as there are also tables upstairs, along with another bar and the kitchen.
The chefs were doing an amazing job at keeping the pizzas coming thick and fast.
With Pizzas, Pies and Cider as The Stables fortay, what’s not to love? A great new place to socialise, relax and eat top-nosh food in Cheltenham. Go check them out!
